A panel indicator (also known as pilot light) is a light or LED that prompts the user to the status of a hardware device, which is usually controlled by an electrical switch. Examples include the panel indicator light for when the fog light is working (turned on) or when the motor is enabled. These lights show whether or not the load, machinery, or electronics are enabled or disabled. They are not only a great accessory to switches that do not have illumination functions, but also useful tools for status quo reporting.
