A good busbar requires excellent safety as well as conductivity. MGSwitches took great care in making our busbar with materials that match our standard. Each metal bar is made of high-quality solid copper, the second-best material for electricity conduction (second only to the cost-prohibitive silver). For additional protection, we offer three busbar cover options for each busbar. For a classical look, choose our ABS cover. For a low-profile stylish look, consider our TPR covers (a flexible/insulating elastic material). Lastly, for convenient see-through feature, choose our clear PC (polycarbonate) covers. On PC busbar covers, we offer made-to-order logo printing feature which allows you to print your own company logo/design (MOQ and additional fees required).

MGSwitches busbar bases are made with UL 94 V-0 materials. This flammability rating indicates the best self-extinguishing level from our busbars. Also, these 150 A busbars are certified to handle up to 150 A (at 48 Vdc) with minimal temperature rise (continuous operation time: 1 hour). Depending on customers’ needs, we offer 150 A busbars with up to 20 connecting screws for extraordinary capacity on power distribution/management. Each busbar can be paired with one of the three types of busbar covers (ABS, TPR, or PC material). TPR covers come in either black or red color, which provides an easy way to distinguish the positive (Red) and negative (Black) ends of the electrical network.

For a busbar that handles high power, the most critical part is the copper bar. Proper dimensions and thickness of copper bars are required to ensure, during operation, the temperature risen is within safety level. MGSwitches busbars are made with care with user safety and utility as our core value. To achieve this, our busbar dimensions are made to handle much higher ampacity than the listed rating. This way, our customers can confidently use our busbars with ease knowing that it is buffered with higher capabilities and safety considerations. The 250 A busbars can be accompanied by our fireproof (UL 94 V-0) ABS insulation busbar covers.

These high ampacity busbars are significant investments for boaters and mariners. They are the cornerstones of marine power management/distribution. To ensure they give the best performance and safety quality, we specifically made these 600 A busbars with specs exceeding their listed ratings (we’re only using about 50% of its ampacity).
